About Us

The work of the Greater Lighthouse Church and its various outreach ministries was founded by Pastors John and Bonnie Turner in 1996. It is our goal, to evangelize our community, ease the hurt, and lift the spirits, by way of addressing many of the spiritual and natural human needs. The ministry offers a variety of much needed services to enhance spiritual growth. This is evidenced by the ever-changing lives of our members, including the lives of our very strong, and hardworking Youth Department.

The Blessing Corner Furniture, the Blessing Corner Food Program and The Blessing Corner Free Market are all Outreach entities that offers mentoring, job training, rehabilitation services and/or special assistance to our community. These entities are all d/b/a’s under our church’s non-profit corporation, The Greater Lighthouse Community Outreach, Inc. 

We offer education classes as needed, which include, but are not limited to the following: Disaster Preparedness Training, Health and Wellness classes, that are taught by credentialed instructors. We are an on-going source for other community referrals; working in conjunction with such agencies as 2-1-1, The American Red Cross, the Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Services, and many other local human services agencies to provide the best possible service to the clients that we serve.
